Mayor and Council

The City of Douglass is a city of the third class governed by a mayor and 5-council structure.  The Council meets on the second Wednesday monthly at 6:30 pm in City Hall. A listing of current elected officials is as follows:

Term of office is 4 years with elections being held every two years in the fall for either the mayor and 2 council members or 3 council members.

Thinking about running for an Elected Official position such as Mayor or City Councilmember?
The next election will hold a Mayor position and two City Council seats, if you would like to inquire about running or have questions about it you can submit your submission to run at the as well as a $20 filing fee at the El Dorado Court House.
The deadline for filing is June 2nd 2025 at noon.
